Summary
We’re approaching a major milestone in the Muses Upgrade, which commenced in late April 2024. Zeus Network has focused on securing native Bitcoin assets on Solana by enhancing the security of Zeus Nodes. We’ve also optimized the user interface and experience to ensure seamless asset management of $zBTC on our first dApp, APOLLO. We’re excited to make history by bringing Bitcoin assets to Solana in a permissionless manner for the first time.
Non-tech: Recapping recent highlights
𐓷 APOLLO Final Testnet: ZWG / Alpha Testing ongoing
Starting in early June, the Zeus Working Group (ZWG) began testing and reporting issues and suggestions to improve the APOLLO Final Testnet. By mid-June, we had whitelisted approximately 2,500 addresses. These included distinguished community members such as Zeus Sage, Zeus Chad, Dappie Holder, and Server Boosters, as well as ecosystem partners like RuneMine, OrdinalXTribes, and MonkeDAO. Together, we reported over 200 issues and suggestions to make APOLLO a successful dApp.
The APOLLO Final Testnet will be open to the public in July.

𐓷 Zeus Network at Solana Summit
Our team was honored to be a major partner at the Solana Summit, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from June 20–22. We look forward to exploring synergies with the partners we met in Kuala Lumpur in infrastructure, DeFi, and more, to support Solana’s journey towards becoming a widely adopted blockchain.
We also forged significant partnerships that will benefit both the Bitcoin and Solana ecosystems, especially for our Olympians who have supported us throughout this journey. Additionally, we connected with Superteam Japan to establish collaboration and support the developer environment in Japan and the APAC region.
𐓷 First ZPL Workshop
To further develop Zeus Network as a robust infrastructure for future Solana dApps in preparation for the ZPL launch, Zeus Network’s Co-founder Dean hosted two Zeus Workshops attended by over 60 developers at Solana Summit.

Development Recap: Muses Upgrade
Join us on a journey to revisit the development of Zeus Network. Launched in late 2023, Zeus Network began as a communication layer connecting Bitcoin to Solana. However, we soon realized our role was much larger. Through Zeus Network, we not only provide liquidity to Solana but also drive innovation, foster prosperity, and ignite a revolution.
Zeus Network is built on the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) and functions as a Layer 1.5, enhancing Solana’s accessibility and liquidity. This advancement pushes Solana toward mass adoption, creating new opportunities for growth and development.
Looking ahead in Q3, Zeus Network will focus on the adoption of the Zeus Program Library (ZPL) to attract developers and projects, connecting Bitcoin and Solana ecosystems. Concurrently, APOLLO will concentrate on bringing liquidity and attracting users to experience a whole new realm of Bitcoin DeFi utilization on Solana.
Zeus Network
The development of Zeus Network prioritizes asset security when communicating through ZPL to Solana. Our first mission is to facilitate native Bitcoin’s permissionless arrival on Solana. The Zeus Node plays a critical role in this process.
During the Muses Upgrade, we successfully initiated the singleton mode of Zeus Node to conduct the testing flow on APOLLO Testnet #3 with testing $BTC. This process involved claiming $BTC, depositing $BTC, and withdrawing $zBTC.

- Zeus Node — Notary Mode: Zeus Node will transition from singleton mode to notary mode, ready to accept notary nodes and advance towards full decentralization.
APOLLO
The premier dApp built on ZPL, APOLLO has the vital task of converting native Bitcoin into $zBTC and exploring DeFi applications on Solana. From the start of 2024, APOLLO has gone through three testnet iterations to bring this concept to life. We’re in the last testing stage before $zBTC becomes operational on Solana.
The APOLLO Testnets
Testnet #1
The first Testnet launched at the end of January, marking the initial implementation of the concept that brings Bitcoin to Solana. With 4,500 whitelisted alpha testers from Olympians, more than 3,400 participated in the testing within the first 48 hours of its launch.
Testnet #2
The second round of testing began on April 1st. In under a month, APOLLO successfully attracted over 77,000 unique users from more than 130 countries worldwide.
Testnet #3
Here comes the final testnet of APOLLO. We have divided it into different testing periods for the Zeus Working Group, Alpha Testers, ecosystem partners, Galxe participants, and finally, the public.
Currently, we are in the Alpha Testing Period with 2,500 whitelisted. Out of these, over 2,000 have already participated in testing. In preparation for the mainnet beta release, we expect over 300,000 unique users to join the testnet for the final round of testing.
