In the summer of 2024, Zeus Network accelerated its growth by welcoming new team members, enabling faster development of key foundational products. Recent efforts have focused on enhancing the security of the network and user experience. APOLLO, the first dApp built on the Zeus Program Library (ZPL) to enable DeFi for Bitcoin on Solana, is set to open its public testing in August.

𐓷 Attended Bitcoin 2024 Conference Nashville
The Zeus team attended the Bitcoin 2024 Conference in Nashville, connecting with great partners such as Stacks, StackingDAO, and Eclipse. We also collaborated with Bonk, Mert from Helius, and the Solana Foundation to co-host a side-event to integrate Solana with Bitcoin.
We seized the opportunity to network with the Bitcoin community at the Ord House, engaging with groups like DeGods, Bitcoin Puppets, Ordinal Maxi Biz, and Pups. A new chapter is forming for the future of Bitcoin and Solana.

Zeus Network
After months of development, Zeus Network has successfully established two major backbones: Zeus Node and the Zeus Program Library (ZPL), setting the stage for further innovation and utility.
Zeus Node: The Guardian of the Network
Zeus Node, entrusted with the critical task of maintaining asset verification integrity, has been rigorously tested by a user base growing from four thousand to nearly one hundred thousand. The current priority is to enhance the security and stability of Zeus Node as it prepares for its next phase: Notary Mode.
With the progress of a crucial partnership settlement, the Notary Mode of Zeus Node will accelerate, reducing the development period by at least one month. We anticipate the mainnet beta of Zeus Network will launch sooner — hang tight!
Zeus Program Library (ZPL)
While Zeus Node focuses on security, ZPL ensures functionality. For the APOLLO testnet, we’ve tested major programs like the Two-way Peg Program, Simplified Payment Verification (SPV) Program, and the Liquidity Management Program.
𐓷 ZPL-Assets: Assets Empowered by ZPL
Assets flowing through Zeus Network into Solana will be transformed into ZPL-Assets, which can be fungible (cryptocurrencies) or non-fungible (NFTs). The first ZPL-Asset will be zBTC, introduced by APOLLO, the first dApp built on ZPL, facilitating seamless Bitcoin DeFi utilization on Solana.
𐓷 ZPL-SDK: Open-sourced Developer Interface
The ZPL-SDK will be open-sourced and available in Q4, enabling developers to launch dApps on Zeus Network. We are also planning the distribution of ecosystem funds to incentivize builders to utilize ZPL, bringing more utility to Bitcoin and other assets on Solana.
ZeusScan: ZPL-Assets Integrator
A powerful liquidity inflow requires a robust tool to monitor asset movements from other blockchains to Solana.
ZeusScan serves as a powerful ZPL-Assets Integrator, tracking and managing assets empowered by the Zeus Program Library (ZPL) on Solana. It provides comprehensive visibility and control over asset transactions, featuring robust monitoring, real-time verification, and specialized tools tailored for efficient ZPL-Asset management within the Solana network.

The Zeus Foundation is nearing the ZEUS Staking Program’s finalization, which is designed to secure the network and empower ZPL-Assets on Solana.

APOLLO
APOLLO is in the last testing phase, with ZWG and Olympians reporting issues and suggestions actively. We expect to open public testing by early August, featuring incentivized testnet campaigns.
zBTC
zBTC is arriving sooner than anticipated, thanks to the technical breakthroughs achieved through dedicated development. After months of designing and building partnerships to maximize the use cases of zBTC, we’ve reached agreements with key ecosystem partners.
zBTC aims to be more than just another wrapped version of Bitcoin. It will revolutionize traditional DeFi and utilization concepts.
Muses Wallet: Pioneer of SVM Cross-chain Wallet
The Muses wallet is a key component of Zeus Network’s mission to position Solana as the premier Layer 2 for all blockchains. Based on our future development plans, the ultimate goal of a multi-chain wallet built on SVM is to manage ZPL-Assets on Solana and assets from other blockchains.
The Muses wallet will be introduced during the Public Testing Period of the APOLLO Testnet. Stay tuned to install it from the browser extension store.
APOLLO Testnet Campaign (Coming Soon in August)
The major functions and features of APOLLO are complete and undergoing optimization. We anticipate opening it to the public to experience zBTC on testnet in August. Participants will be able to use the testnet and accumulate points on Galxe, which will be converted into actual rewards in the future.
Conclusion
The great journey of Zeus Network to extract liquidity from Bitcoin and scale Solana began in December 2023. We caught the best timing to embrace the booming of cryptocurrency expected in late 2024 or 2025. The challenge of creating a decentralized way to manage assets between the most secure blockchain and the most efficient ecosystem was immense, but the Zeus Network team was prepared to overcome any obstacle.
With every development on track, we are on course to deliver on our promise sooner than expected: Bitcoin on Solana.
